FTP Problem

I am FTP'ing a .tar.bz2 file from SuSE 10.0 to a Windows 2000 Server running FTP.

The problem is that whenever I try to open the .tar.bz2 file from a Windows XP machine with WinRAR, nothing exists within the compressed file

Pete.

I have had problems in the past with non-binary transmissions between the two systems through ftp. Try setting your transmission type to binary and see if that helps. Like i sadi not positive but it has worked for me in the past.
