ftp issues

hey ppl,
i m working on Linux 4.3.13 able to ftp into this system ( our server ) through other linux systems but unable to do so from windows xp/prof.. chked the vsftpd process and xinetd processes ..both are running ..could any 1 tell me why im facing this prob and what i cud do to resolve it

Hi there,

Do you have any error message? How do you try to connect (software + version)? do you try to access to your ftp server via a LAN or internet?

well if there were any error messages i wud have put em there just hangs when u try to connect using ftp/telnet for connection i just open the cmd prompt and type in telnet <server> and ftp <server> and finally its thru the LAN ( i dunno if any common sensical person would try ftp thru internet knowing that its blocked most of the times !!!!)
