FTP File Corruption
 

On my FTP server all files are being reported as corrupted with many CRC errors by people downloading from the server. The server has been running for 16 months without problems and I'm totally lost as to why its started failing.
I'm pretty certain its not a hardware issue. I can copy files to and from the server using samba and my home network without problems.
What are the common cause of file corruption during transfer?

I'm running vsFTPd and Suse Pro 8.2.

Not setting the binary or passive modes can sometimes cause a corrupt transfer.
