ftp - connection closed by remote host
Hi,
I am new in this forum, so the question IŽll put may seems ridiculous, but I spent a couple of days trying to solve it without success.
I was using a mail server running freeBSD and it was possible to ftp files to remote host (outside the local network) from any workstation running Windows XP.
A new server has been set up running Slackware and this accepts ftp from workstations using a command line, but not to remote host. From the server it is possible to ftp to remote host, but as I said not from a workstation. It accepts connection but when the files start transferring gives the following "connection closed by remote host".
I have checked hosts.allow and hosts.deny and there is not any instructions to block ftp connections.
Any ideas?
