i would like to turn my linux computer in a good ftp server... the problem is i don't really know how to

I am currently running an ftp server on my windows computer and that works fine
I know that windows is unstable, and this is why i want to change.
can someone plz tell me which ftp program would be the best to use for linux red hat 9.0?

You can use the Proftpd as your FTP server, there are many other FTP daemons as well like, vsftpd, ncftpd, wu-ftpd etc.

You can setup SAMBA on your Linux computer. That will allow your Linux computer to join a windows netbios network, therefore you can share files, copy them over etc.

i recommend you to use vsftpd as it is easy to configure and secure.
