I have two FTP servers running on my RED HAT 7.0 machine. The first is the default and is running on the IP 192.168.230.30. The second is a virtual server running on my second ethernet card 192.168.231.30.

I can ftp to both servers and they do their respective jobs fine. However when I FTP to the second virtual server it takes ages for the user and password prompt to appear.

I think this is a DNS issue but Im baffeled as to why the one works fine and the other doesnt.

Any help would be appreciated.

This is DNS problem only. Please check the second network properly configured are not in DNS
