freeswan and public address

I am trying to install a vpn server within a network than as only private addresses. The public address is redirected towards my vpn box, but the vpn box doesn't have a real public address.

The machine fail the ipsec verify test: -Does the machine have at least one non-private address [FAILED]

Is there a way to have it think that it is on the front line?
