Free online Linux Server for SSH connection

Hi all,

Is there are free online Linux servers where I can connect to them through telnet or SSH and practice some Linux command? I need it badly for my student to login some remote free server and practice these Linux command. Is there any solution?

There are numerous places that offer free or relatively free shell accounts. Here's a list of some;

Not all of them will be Linux as some may be BSD. Also some offer more or less facilities then others. Check they meet the criteria you require.

You resurrected 4 year old thread to post this? It's better netiquette to simply start a new thread.

With PuTTY, you type in the host name you want to connect to into the box, and you select SSH as a protocol. Then you just hit connect and off you fo. You will need an account of some sort on the remote server to be able to login to it.
