free conexant drivers for linux?

Hi,

I'm using mandriva 2006 on dell inspiron 1100 laptop w/ 56k modem. I used to be able to get the modem to work when using mdk10 and the 14.4k linuxant drivers. since i did a fresh format and install manriva 2006, can't seem to get it to work...dialing up simply crashes. are there any alternatives out there besides linuxant? thanks.

Not as far as I know. I gave up on the linuxanrt drivers (which are too slow anyway - unless you pay for the full driver) and got a cheap serial modem: best decision I ever made. It's faster, stable and automatically configured.
