I have Digi Sync 570i card (Hitachi HD64570) with two sync ports (up to 2048Kbs). Currently, I am using this card in NT Server with RRAS, as a router to my ISP (over Frame Relay protocol). I relay wish to use Linux, RedHat or any other, but I can't find any relevant information about Frame Relay under Linux and about HDLC cards (Linux kenel 2.2.16 has hd64570.h and hd64570.c files under net/misc, but I am not sure will that drivers work? Digi offers no support for Linux, and their support forward my questions to GCOM Inc. and they offer me to buy dother card and their software for Linux, but I just want to use this card, it must be possible, because it works with NT). Any help?

Seems to me that Linux drivers for that card are pretty hard to come by. GCOM does have a driver, but I do not see an option to buy it without the card. Has anyone seen a free Linux driver for this card? If it helps I know FreeBSD has native support for it.

FreeBSD and DigiBoard
Yes, I know for FreeBSD, it supports Digiboard, which is earlier name for Digi Sync 570i. My question is, does FreeBSD support Frame Relay, and how to configure it?

OK let me preface this by saying that I am not sure about this one. I searched for frame relay install info for linux/freebsd, but even google had trouble with that request. I believe something like
Code:
ifconfig ar0 ip.address dest.ip.address netmask net.mask
should do the trick. Is there anyone who can confirm this (or who knows that it is wrong)?

Frame Relay and Linux
Well, I also have a trouble finding any information about Frame Relay and linux/FreeBSD. What is sure is that works, but I don't know how. It is best for me to try out... what I hate to do if I am not sure how!
For Linux, there are some sites discribing that it works, but I did't find any how-to or similar text for FR setup.
OK, thanks, anyway.
