Here's an excellent link about "port forwarding" with iptables:

Here's an example (from the above link):
# iptables -A PREROUTING -t nat -i eth0 -p tcp --dport 80 -j DNAT --to
# iptables -A FORWARD -p tcp -d --dport 8080 -j ACCEPT
