forums/mailing lists for standards implementation discussion

I am looking for forums and/or mailing lists where "IMPLEMENTATION" issues that concerns the internet RFCs and the IEEE802.X standards are discuessed. An online resource, precisely, where experts and noobs rub minds on these standards as to practical experiences (just like this online resource is for rubbing minds on linux as an OS). can anyone point me to such resources? The lord knows I tried googling it.

I don't think there are that many people interested in discussing standards in general - even internet RFCs in general. Most people are interested in specifics. There are discussion forums for several individual major ISO standards, for example.

Have you searched for (iso OR ietf OR ieee) (discussion OR forum)?

The discussion groups sponsored by those bodies looked they are mostly restricted to members.

Personally ... I googled it! A search for "google search terms" returns a number of hits including this: Selecting Search Terms For Google - Google Guide

The only real trick to googling for things is not to give up if you don't find it at once. Try different ones, try more details ... and always check the 2nd or even 3rd page of results!
