Forcing BIND cache TTLs

Is there a way to force the TTLs of cached queries to higher value in BIND (9)? My ISP's namesever is shotty so if I could make my local server hold all the queries hold for like 12 hours, that'd be pretty cool. Probably make my web browsing faster too right?

Thanks
