Force server to route through a specific IP with OpenWRT

I'm using OpenWRT on our router, and we have multiple static IP address ranges configured for our WAN.

How would I force our email server to send outgoing traffic through a specific IP?

I imagine you would need to set up a vlan (separate network). Then I would recommend that you set the default gateway for that vlan as the desired external IP address.

This will allow you to point the email server to the correct network as well as add any further machines to that specific subnet, and by extension, that specific external IP address.

I may be incorrect, so hopefully someone else will chime in.
