Flash V9 causing Firefox to crash

I am using FireFox with V9
But, when I open some flash file (.swf), it's causing the browser to crash.

I have a,,, kernel on my system.

If I use the browser with flash V7 and open the same file then it is not running the flash content but also not crashing the browser.

On another machine with,,, kernel 2.6.21 Flash V9 works fine.

What could be the problem with the first system?
Could it be because (V9) uses libc-2.7 and I am trying to run it on system with libc-2.3?

Flash 9 is known to crash Firefox. You might try Adobe's Flash 10 beta or switch to Gnash.

Difficult to say, Ubuntu 8.04 uses 9.0.124,
PCLinuxOS2007 and others uses an older stable one,
9.0.48 . An rpm package, easy to try on Fedora :
(Mandriva has 2 choices : 9.0.115 + 9.0.48 )

With Firefox,

if I use flash 10 beta and run some .swf file then browser asks me whether to save the file.
With flash 9 (r48) if I run the same file; brower is gettig hanged.
