firewall / router distro

can anyone recomend a distro and sutable software to create a linux based firewall and router that can toatlly seperate about 5 boxes from a larger network that has been compramised by bad management,
while still conecting tehm to the internet through that network,

the hardware i have to work with is a intel celleron 400mhz 64mb ram
4gb hdd
2 x 10/100 pci NIC cards

(cdrom and floppy avalable)

i am a total newbie to doing this and a relative newbie to linux overall,
(i mearly run 1 desktop using suse 10.1 as my home PC)

links to websites taht explain how this works woudl be usefull as i have searced google linux and only found sites taht could only help if you understood what you were doing so much that you wouldent need any help anyway!

just use something like IPCop. they've already done all the work for you.
