File Size not right Linux<->Win XP

I have gotten my Linux and Win XP network up and running using SAMBA. I can transfer and play files from and to each system, so I think all is well. The funny thing is, when I look at the files on my Win XP computer from my Linux(FC1) computer no file shows larger than about 1.3GB and some are as big as 14GB(video files). When I look at the files on the Linux computer from the Win XP computer the large files just show up as 0 bytes. I'm not quite sure why, but they still seem to work, just the two can't seem to get the other's file sizes right.

I set up SAMBA using redhat-config-samba so maybe something is amiss there but I previously was having trouble getting things right when using SWAT.

I'm a super noob at networking so....

Thanks.

By default at times the Linux kernel doesn't support files larger than 2GB in size. You may need to recompile your kernel to support such things.

If you provide more details on your setup, distro, kernel version, etc, it might get better replies.

The distro is Fedora Core 1 installed as ext3 with I believe the original kernel, 2.4.22-1.2115.nptl on an AMD. It does show the expected filesize in Nautilus, just not across the network.
