Unhappy fetchmail


hi everybody
recetly i am facing problem while
fetching mails from my ISP. Previously it was working fine and now a days it gives error "Query
status =2(SOCKET)". I went through man page of fetchmail but it says its unrecoverable erro ignore it , but i cant ignore it bec i am not able to receive incoming mails. Can anybody help me how to come out of this problem ??? thanks in advance
