Fedora Newbie...needs to connect Linux box to Linksys router for internet

I just want to know whats the best way to connect my Linux Fedora 10 box to my current Linksys router thats in another room connected to two Windows boxes, running a cable from the downstairs to upstairs is out of the question. Wireless will have to be the way but I'm not sure if theres different procedures with Linux and plug n play devices like USB wireless network adapters. Also, I'm pretty sure theres more to it than say taking a device that would automatically work for a windows system and plugging it into the Fedora box.

You could try the Linux Wireless Wiki, and there are a few wireless tutorials among the Networking ones here.

You could also try a netgear AC Powerline Ethernet adapter
Plug one AC Powerline adapter into wall plug close to your router and plug the second one into a wall plug close to your remote computer.
Run an ethernet cable from Router Lan Jack to one of the four switch jacks on the AC Powerline adapter and then another ethenet cable from the remote ac powerline adapter to your remote computer ethernet jack.
Much better reliability/security/distance
Keeps the neighbors from uing your wireless bandwidth :-)
