Fedora Internet connection problem

background post:

my set up:
OS = Fedora
Network card = on-board card for Chain tech 7nif2 Motherboard
driver = Linux nForce Driver - IA32
On-line account = verizon DSL

where I'm at now:
1)only have one network card installed = good (no problem)

2)i used the network connection wizard. then I reseted my PC. When it rebooted i tried to establish a connection. Intern i received this message

cannot activate network device ppp0

/sbin/adsl-start:line 215: 4275 Terminated $ conect "$@" >/dev/null 2>&1

any help will be greatly appreciated

o by the way this is the beginning of my second day with a Linux based OS so be gentle

Ps also tried this
