it seems that fedora 8 automatically labels my wireless card internet connection as a ethernet connection instead of a wireless connection. I would like to change the label of my wireless card from eth1:0 to wlan0 through the command line? How can I change it to wlan0 and get my wireless information onto it by taking it off of eth1:0? Any help would be greatly appreciated. In sudo ifconfig -a there is one device that is labeled wifi0, if that will work how can I change my device's name and information on it to that or wlan0? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Polanski... could you please start using useful thread titles? Your choices are always one world and never descriptive about your problem, e.g. "changing name of wireless interface on fedora 8" would be a lot better here.
