found some pop up adds coming w/ opera- is this a part of the opera experience? opera is really feature rich- so much so, it becomes a little confusing- layout seems to suffer because of this.

mozilla browser, and messenger are good (mozilla is a huge file- like 4 times the size of IE6.1). konquorer seems to be lacking- not too pleased w/ it. tried dillo, and it's good for the low resource systems. will try lynx out (text based browser), just seem to have problems w/ the initiation (not a good sign, though).

e-mail is something else. only thing that is simple to set up, and works every time is mozilla messenger. ximian, sylpheed, and perhaps others seem to not work. sylpheed gives some kind of an error?

man, the time i've spent screwing around w/ distros. in this respect, three dead trolls in a baggie-"every os sucks" toon seems to ring true
