Unhappy FC3 and Active Directory

My instructor has placed me in charge of setting up Linux in the classroom. The class is on Computer Repair and Networking. He wants to dual-boot Fedora Core 3 and Windows XP. We have a Windows 2003 Server Domain Controller that everyone logs into.

I am having a problem getting Linux to see the other computers in the network whether they are running FC3 or WinXP. I also can't seem to get FC3 to log into the domain. I admit, I am still sorta new to linux but already love and so know more than the rest of my class. that is why my instructor assigned me to this.

If anyone can help, HELP!!! please.
