ethernet problem on Suse 10

hello. i have installed suse 10.0 on my laptop (Acer TM 291LCi) but my ethernet card isn't working... i'm thinking that is a DHCP problem... but on Windows it works fine...

i have seen, and at boot time, the system doesn't get any IP for this card...

the output from 'ifconfig' comand is:

eth1 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 00:02:3F:15:1C:01
inet6 addr: fe80::202:3fff:fe15:1c01/64 Scope:Link
UP BROADCAST RUNNING MULTICAST MTU:1500 Metric:1
RX packets:3 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0
TX packets:5 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0
collisions:0 txqueuelen:1000
RX bytes:572 (572.0 b) TX bytes:378 (378.0 b)
Interrupt:10 Base address:0x2000

lo Link encap:Local Loopback
inet addr:127.0.0.1 Mask:255.0.0.0
inet6 addr: ::1/128 Scope:Host
UP LOOPBACK RUNNING MTU:16436 Metric:1
RX packets:273 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0
TX packets:273 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0
collisions:0 txqueuelen:0
RX bytes:22572 (22.0 Kb) TX bytes:22572 (22.0 Kb)

any one can help me connecting this card ? i wasn't thinking in some static solution because if i connect it on my school, won't work...

PS: sory for some kicks on my english... Portugal here...

Go to yast and select the option to configure hardware .. there is an option of seting networking
Select the card and enable/disable it to make it work .. it will yast is pretty good with that.

with me .. i almost always had to do it with suse (i have 2 nics) .. and it works like a charm aftewards.
