ethernet driver coalescing pararmeters changes /retriving problem

I had to make a couple of changes to allow setting/
retrieving the coalescence parameters with ethtool.
i found that i have to add some patches but i dont get actually what to do for it ?

plz tell me to change all coalescing parameters .am i need to change in code ?
