Exclamation Ethernet Disables Alone

Hey All !
I have Installed Redhat 9.0 where I run Fetchmail and Sendmail to manage my emails.

However, it seems that when no one is using the machine for sometime, it's automatically disabling the Ethernet card. In order to reactivate it I have to do it through the Network settings, and activate from there.

Can anyone help me by telling me how to stop having my ethernet card disabled automatically?

Thanks in advance.

JP

Is the card actually being disabled, or is the connection being lost? I had a problem (on OpenBSD) where the computer went into a sleep mode after about 20 minutes of inactivity and the ethernet adapter stopped responding to pings etc. As soon as I typed anything on the local keyboard, it all came back to life. Fix was to disable powersave in the BIOS.

Actually the card is the one being disabled, and I believe that it's being disabled after 20 minutes. I am not loosing any connection nor the cable is being unplugged.
It does not reactivate when I type anything on the KeyBoard as you mentioned in your case Ian. I have to manually go into the System Setting > Network and click on Activate to reactivate it.

Any clues how to disable this automatic inactivation of the Ethernet Card?
