I am using Freesco - a stripped down version of Linux - to set up an old Pentium as a router for my cable modem. I put three ethernet cards in. The Linksys NC1000 card recognizes the cable modem and works ok. The system recognizes the other two cards - 3Com 509 cards - but my clients can't connect through them. I think the problem has to do with there being three different interfaces on those cards. Is there some way to force the cards to use the RJ interface?

Can u ping the linux box from a client ?

Send in the output of the "ifconfig" command.

U need to know if the NIC's are working. what ip adresses are being used and so on.

Have fun :)
