Angry eth0 missing

I just upgraded my kernel to 2.6.13.3 and the drivers are properly loaded for my NIC (sk98lin for Marvell Gigabit) but for some reason there's just no eth0 device.
The driver is configured to use eth0 in Red Hat's Internet Configuration Manager, but ifconfig gives me
eth0: unknown interface: No such device

I wonder if this could relate to the fact that I cannot boot without 'irqpoll' enabled. IRQ 15 seems to always be causing a problem.

Please help.

They should be. I just modified the default Red Hat config to my specific settings. I don't even know where the setting is to make sure the eth devices are installed. I checked the config file and everything looks fine.

I know in mandrake I can use some sort of wizard that installs my ADSL connection - and I know there was some issues with that particular network port your using (Marvell Gigabit) - do a search on google about it.

Regards
Shelton.
