Eth link up/down indication


On my RedHat I need any king of visual indication (icon, for example) telling me whether the ethernet link is up or down.
Is such program exist?

Many 'status' programs (such as gKrellM) include such a feature -- displaying transfer rates and the like when connected, and ... well nothing when not. Take a look for those programs (a great place is in the Desktop Screenshot thread; they talk about status monitors there) and choose one of your liking.
