"/etc/sysconfig/network" is not present in SLES?
Hello all,
If "/etc/sysconfig/network" is not present in SLES, then in which configuration file the gateway is set? |
I believe Novell|SuSE recommend using YaST2 to configure this option. I do not have a SLES install readily available to provide the exact navigation within YaST for configuring this though.
Unfortunately, I do not recall off-hand the file's location that YaST modifies to set the GATEWAY. Hope this helps. |
Yes SLES does use YAST but at the end of the day settings get save in some or the other file.
IP address in SLES is set in file like: "/etc/sysconfig/network/ifcfg-eth-id-00\:1a\:a0\:04\:42\:ef" and in redhat it is set in file like: "cat /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0" Likewise I want to know the file in which the gateway is set. |
