"/etc/sysconfig/network" is not present in SLES?

Hello all,

If "/etc/sysconfig/network" is not present in SLES, then in which configuration file the gateway is set?

I believe Novell|SuSE recommend using YaST2 to configure this option. I do not have a SLES install readily available to provide the exact navigation within YaST for configuring this though.

Unfortunately, I do not recall off-hand the file's location that YaST modifies to set the GATEWAY.

Hope this helps.

Yes SLES does use YAST but at the end of the day settings get save in some or the other file.

IP address in SLES is set in file like: "/etc/sysconfig/network/ifcfg-eth-id-00\:1a\:a0\:04\:42\:ef"

and in redhat it is set in file like:
"cat /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0"

Likewise I want to know the file in which the gateway is set.
