On
http://linuxmafia.com/pub/linux/suse...chapter10.html I noticed that on Suse you can make static routes permanent by creating /etc/route.conf.
I would like to add this static route permanent :
route add -net 40.40.40.0 netmask 255.255.255.0 gw 88.79.61.13
After adding this command, routing works correct.
So I create /etc/route.conf like this :
stbb01:~ # cat /etc/route.conf
40.40.40.0 88.79.61.13 255.255.255.0
stbb01:~ #
however after reboot, I see that my route is not added in the routing table and have to add it manually again.
What is the real way of creating static routes on Suse ?
Note : I am NOT interested in the graphical way, I am looking for the "CLI" solution.
Thanx in advance.
