Establishing Internet Connection

I just installed Fedora Core 4, everything is default.

I can't connect to the internet, I just would like to know the first steps of actually getting the internet going. I have a D-Link DWL- g120 USB Adapter which under Windows XP requires me to install some software from a CD.

Please tell me what other info you need from me.

Is it an outside usb Nic? It surely requires a driver maybe a generic one. During the installation Fedora haven't detected the device so now you need to add it by recompiling the kernel and check all the usb support. .
