"error when calling class OldSim: simple.tcl" problem

Hello

I am new to ns2. I have installed the allinone package fo ns2-2.35 using cygwin on Windows 7. It installed correctly. But when i try to
run any tcl file it says-

% ns simple.tcl
"warning: using backward compatibility mode
error when calling class OldSim: simple.tcl "

Even when I run ./validate it displays the same error.
Any help would be appreciated. Thankyou.
