Error installing ipsec tools

Hello. First and foremost I am brand new to linux.

Onto my issue. I am attempting to install the latest ipsec tools onto a fresh fedora machine using their latest iso.

I am following THESE basic instructions on how to do it, but I am getting an error when trying to run
Code:
./configure --prefix=/usr --sysconfdir=/etc/racoon --enable-hybrid --enable-frag --enable-dpd --enable-natt
This is the error :
Code:
configure: error: Unable to find linux-2.6 kernel headers. Aborting.
This is the entire output to the command :

The first command on the website checking for ipsec tools came up with nothing. I downloaded the ipsec tools to the downloads folder. I unpacked the file using the given tar command. Not sure what is wrong or how to fix it. I tried searching google but didn't come up with much i could understand.

Any help is appreciated.

Hello I think your problem is that you compiling and you do not have the proper libraries installed. So have you tried to find this app in the package manager?. If it is not there I would suggest trying to install from rpm files. https://rpmfind.net/linux/rpm2html/s...ry=ipsec-tools you have to make sure you have the right dependencys.

Compiling applications can be a big pain if you have never done it before.

hope it helps.
