Some information:

"The Credentials supplied conflict with an existing set of credentials"
This error is almost always caused by already having an existing connection to the server while trying to join the domain. To check on this, bring up a command prompt on your Windows box and type net use. If it lists any
connections to the server, do net use \\servername /delete and try joining the domain again.

The NT SMB redirector has one small deficiency: you cannot connect to the same server name using multiple usernames. For example, suppose that I have an SMB server named SERVER1, which is either Windows NT, Window 9x, or Samba and provide the following shares: [docs] and [forms]. First I connect to \\server1\docs using the valid account named sysadmin:
net use p: \\server1\docs /user:admin
The command completed successfully.
Next I try to connect to \\server1\forms using my normal account named jerryc:
net use p: \\server1\forms /user:jerryc
System error 1219 has occurred.
The credentials supplied conflict with an existing set of credentials.
The way to work around this problem is to make NT think that you are connecting to a different server. The easiest way to do this is to use the IP address of the server rather than its name. For example, to connect to the [forms] shares I run
net use p: \\192.168.1.75\forms /user:jerryc
The command completed successfully.
This time, Windows NT can connect successfully. You can also use Samba's NetBIOS aliases capability to enable clients to connect to the same server using multiple names rather than using an IP address.
