equivalent of net send


1.what is the equivalent of net send in linux....or how can i send message to other linux pcs on lan (with out proxy authenticatrion)without logging in anywhere..hope u got me
2.how do i access port 1080 in firefox..?

actually...the proxy(RedHat 9 ) 's 1080 port has to be accessed it can be opened in IE
but firefox say "access to the port has been diabled due to security reasons"
