Entrust certificate on Openssl in FC11

Hello all,

I have an FC 11 on a Dell Inspiron 1525. My univ has a wireless network and I am trying to connect to it.

Using NetworkManager, I am able to detect the network. However, one of the options needs a certificate (as per univ instructions):
Entrust.net_Secure_Server_CA.pem
in
/etc/ssl/certs

I installed openssl from source and looked in the /usr/local/ssl/certs directory and find that it is empty.

To generate an Entrust certificate, I did a basic google search and found this link:
http://www.entrust.net/knowledge-bas...te.cfm?tn=8231

When they say that I need to request the certificate from them, would I have to buy it for a period of time? Any idea if there are any free certificates that might be similar?

Thanks in advance.

fc 11??
fedora 11 ?

is there a MUST use need for 11
as in you have NO CHOICE in using a dead version of fedora
fedora 11 is 6 versions and 2+ years out of date
fedora 11 hit it's End of Life back in 2010-06-25

there is NO support in 11 for any new hardware
there is NO new software ( no openoffice 3.6 , no firefox 15 )
the software reops are dead

please install fedora 17 first

Thanks for the response. Yes, it is fedora core 11.

The computer is close to 4 years old and has taken a huge amount of abuse and served me well too. DVD reader/writer is gone. Hard disk has bad sectors. And a few other minor problems. But I want to use it until it breaks completely. I would rather not install another OS unless absolutely necessary.

Thanks again.

seeing as you only " want" to use a unsupported version of fedora with ALL the unfixed security holes UNFIXED
you might want to post this question over at the End Of Life section of the Fedoraforum
"EOL (End Of Life) Versions "
http://forums.fedoraforum.org/forumdisplay.php?f=75

any dependency you might need will need to be built from source
