EnGenius Atheros -AR5212/AR5213- wireless problem, help ^!^

hi, how is life ...
i got an EnGenius EPI-3601S wireless pci adapter, and i have a CentOS linux>
.
my problem is:
i followed this link
http://madwifi-project.org/wiki/UserDocs/FirstTimeHowTo
to install the driver with madwifi, i did , but i think something gone wrong... but when i restart the pc, linux checked the wifi0 for ip... , and when i went to the networks, i saw a wifi0 in Devices but its from the Ethernet connection, not from wireless connection.
then i tried to "wake it up" and see status, its like this
PHP Code:
lo        no wireless extensions.

wifi0     no wireless extensions.

ath0      IEEE 802.11g  ESSID:""

Mode:Managed  Channel:0  Access PointNot-Associated
          Bit Rate
:0 kb/s   Tx-Power:18 dBm   Sensitivity=0/3
          Retry
:off   RTS thr:off   Fragment thr:off
          Encryption key
:off
          Power Management
:off
          Link Quality
=0/94  Signal level=-95 dBm  Noise level=-95 dBm
          Rx invalid nwid
:0  Rx invalid crypt:0  Rx invalid frag:0
          Tx excessive retries
:0  Invalid misc:0   Missed beacon:0

eth0      no wireless extensions
.

sit0      no wireless extensions
i can change it to monitor mode and return to manage mode with airmon.sh, but i can't get an ip from access point when using these commands
PHP Code:
wlanconfig ath0 destroy
wlanconfig ath0 create wlandev wifi0
ifconfig ath0 up

iwconfig ath0 essid
-=isp name=-
dhclient wifi0
the essid is changed to the desired one, but the problem in the dhclient ...
by the way , after i installed the card, when centOS starts and verify eth0 and wifi0 and before loging in, it stand by for 5 minutes or more just loading with black screen and the mouse with the blue circles...

any ideas? i spent the day searching the net...

yours...
