emails and spams

Hi i am receiving tones of spams in my inbox... I am using kde and i am looking forward for an easy way to filter out the spam messages. Do u have any good articles to start reading?

spamassassin is a popular choice.
At home, I use postfix + clamav + spamassassin + clamassassin.
At work, postfix + clamav + spamassassin + amavisd-new.

Let me ask u plz for fitlering spams is it necessary to have postfix installed? I use kmail to receive emails.. Also do u suggest me to install anomy sanitizer?

Berhanie 02-24-2006 04:19 PM

I was assuming that you have a mail server. Seems that you don't. I don't know anything about anomy sanitizer, so I can't comment on it. But, I found a lot of info in Google regarding your situation.

Kmail has configurable filters. Set it put emails from addresses you know (friends) into one folder, and all others in another folder. You then can get most email spam free, and only occasionally do you have to dig through spam to find a message.
