Question Email Server Setup

I am getting ready to set up Qmail on my Mandrake 10.1 server. I have a static IP and domain name. I have a dual Athlon 1800+ w/ 1Gig PC2100 and 37.6 SCSi drive.
I think I am ready but I want to know if there is anyone out there who has any tips or tricks that I sould be looking out for.

Any input would be great, I am familiar with Linux justt not with mail servers.

Oh yeah, this isn't for work or a business just my own personal experience.
