Ehternet card problem Fedora 8

Hello friends,

I am using Fedora 8. I am using win xp also as a dual os.
My ehternet card is not detected in Fedora. But in windows i am able to connect to internet.

When i am trying to setup my IP address in linux by typing "ifconfig eth0 up <ip-address>"

It shows error message as "eth0: unknown interface: No such device"

Please help me in solving this problem...

Thanks in advance..........

I have also checked whether it recognizes it as eth1

by typing

system-config-network.

There i have found no hardware or devices had been detected

It looks like your distro of Linux does not have drivers for your eth card ?

What NIC do you have ?

I have downloaded the atl2 from the following link:

http://code.google.com/p/eeedora/wiki/WiredInternet

When i installed everything is fine.

Now when i restarted the system. It doesnot works.

When i typed ifconfig eth0 ...... it shows error as

Error in fetching driver eth0.

But when i checked by typing system-config-network
The eth0 is present. But cant be activated.

What may be the fault in it.....
