eep10pci network card driver for a RedHat 2.4.7-10 Kernel
Hey everyone,
Does anyone know where I can find a kernel module for a eep10pci network card? I have the 2.0 KM and the 2.2KM but I have not been able to find the 2.4 KM, if one in fact exists. I have tried compiling the 2.2 KM with some changes available at http://www.ultranet.com/~stalba/eep10pci.html
with no success. I really dont want to get into it much deeper without checking to see if anyone has one around. Any help is appriciated.

If you don't have it somewhere under the /lib/modules/2.4.7-10/kernel/ folder somewhere then support must not be built into kernel. you can recompile the kernel and add support where you don't need a module.

Yeah, I understand that fact that I dont have a module built into my kernel for this ethernet card. What I am looking for is a compatable module for my 2.4.7-10 kernel. The module only support up to the 2.2 line of kernels.
Thanks for all of your help

No Luck
I have tried what you guys have suggested, trying the eepro and the eepro100 drivers. Neither loaded correctally. I was able to get the 8390 driver to load, but it dosn't function correctally. I have also tried loading the 82596 drivers which is the chip the card runs off of with no avail. Is there any other interesting ideas out there?

try this
edit /etc/modules.conf
add this line and remove any other line with eth0...
alias eth0 82596
now try the card by do this...
ifup eth0
Now, if you get errors you need to post them, just saying you have errors could mean anything.
