Re thread : http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...threadid=55733

I have my adsl router working fine from an xp machine. Howevcer when I connect it to my linux box [red hat] i cannot access the net.

eth1 is the card connected to the adsl router and is getting an ip dynamically from the router like XP eth. What else needs to happen to connect the box to the net?

ok so eth1 is going, has the dynamic ip, eth0 is set to your local network address what you need to to set up a basic firewall. To get things going in a hurry you could try http://www.netfilter.org/documentati...O-4.html#ss4.1 although I would suggest reading this in a little more detail.
