Is there a distro on Linux that's just simplier to network with, maybe has more availible drivers?

yes and no....drivers and setup are separate issues.

laptops are harder to solve all driver issues than desktops.

search the HCL for your hardware specs.

you can run a live cd to check your specs in linux terms as well.

What do you mean by easier to network with? Are you having problems with an existing machine or talking hypothetically?
