@Allend,
Thanks for your attention.
The port 22222 is filtered and from
HERE, I understand that --

Filtered means that a firewall, filter, or other network obstacle is blocking the port so that Nmap cannot tell whether it is open or closed.

Note that the port 22222 would be on the Public IP (my dynamic dns would always resolve my hostname to current public IP,which I verified with a vpn connection). Since The Public IP is dished by the ISP, it's a dynamic ip. I have no control over whichever port they choose to open,close or put in stealth/filtered.

Perhaps silly question, but is sshd running on the target PC?

Yes, like I said before, within the intranet (LAN), I can ssh to my computers just fine.

Perhaps try setting the router to pass port 22222 to the target PC and set sshd to listen on that port.

Yes, this is also done, many times each on two different routers, using different non-standard ports. (check the screenshots on my earlier posts)

Check that any firewall on the target PC is allowing the incoming connection. (Check 'dmesg' for records of blocked connections.)

Target PC does not have any entry for a blocked connection, which makes me believe that it is getting blocked at the ISP. Also, as I understand, the error message should have said "connection refused", instead of "Network Unreachable" if it were blocked at my side. [Do correct me if I am wrong].
Right now, I am waiting for a static IP to be assigned from my ISP, after which I would request them to open a non-standard port for me. (Thanks to @michaelk for the suggestion)
