I having a problem setting up my network on Windows Me. I have two computers. (a laptop & a PC) I want to use the Linux server but I also want to keep the millenium on my desktop. Is this possible? If so how?

If you are asking if you can run Windows and linux at the same time, the short answer is no. The long answer says it's possible to do so using VmWare, but it requires a considerable amount of resources (RAM, CPU).

You could set up the linux server to mount the windows partition and share it on your network with Samba so that you can see it with your notebook but there are some read/write considerations to be taken into account. This would still require you to reboot the server if you want to run WinME on it.

You could try Wine too..... if your up for more of a challenge getting maybe Linux as your desktop and then run Windows ME on top of it.

WINE could almost warrant it's own section on this board. I've never actually tried it. Anybody use it on a regular basis?
