DSL & Netgear Router Configuration

I just spent a good long while getting a router to work on WIndows, and now need to get it to work under SuSe 9.3. As per norm, ISP doesn't support Linux, and I'm not going to even try the router company. Cann't understand what they say. Anywho, can someone give me an idea on what I need to do?

Its a Westell DSL Modem (already configured to handle a router. Did that at the start of this in 'doze), Netgear Web Safe Router (Firewall Router). Anyways, anyone know what I need to do to get this all to work?

I believe you just have to make sure the router is a DHCP server. Then you should just have to boot up Suse using DHCP and it should get an address and be good to go.

Most routers actually have a web gui interface you can use from linux if you need to tweak the settings at all. For example, my Linksys WRT54G was accessable as 192.168.1.1 in firefox even though it was setup using the windows CD that came with it.

I tried finding it, but it didn't like what I was trying. I'll see about setting up DHCP to use with it.
