Dovecot problem

Hi,

I can't really get my dovecot to work. Right now it's running, only it does not recognize any user, I have tried it using Outlook and Squirrelmail.

In my maillog I see this:

dovecot: imap-login: Aborted login: user=<johan>, method=PLAIN, rip=127.0.0.1, lip=127.0.0.1, secured

I have configured dovecot like this for the user lookup:

passdb passwd { /etc/passwd
}
userdb passwd { /etc/passwd
}

Does anyone knows what I could try?

Yes. Dovecot is running. I just can't login/authenticate.
