How To Ask Questions The Smart Way

Additional information would be very useful in providing more applicable responses and direction. Things like: distro? error? end result or intended purpose? what has been tried? results of tried attempts? articles followed? steps taken? where stuck? ...? ...?

Code:
yum install dovecot
review /usr/share/doc/dovecot-*/ documentation
modify dovecot.conf to suite needs
service dovecot start
chkconfig dovecot on
