doubt ?


hi

taht is not the question>? if i delete the loop back addrss and say an eg , i type netconfig and put 192.168.1.2 .. wil i get a ping
response if i ping 192.168.1.2 from the same system

I think this to mean: "If I setup a static IP address in the 192.168 range, can I ping myself, even if not connected to a network?" The answer is yes, if your routing tables are set up properly.
